When we think about where adult stars live, either Los Angeles, Miami or Las Vegas come to mind for most people, but there are a surprising number of famous performers who live in small towns! HUSTLERMagazine.com spoke with four sex work superstars about their experiences with working in the adult industry while living in small communities.

HUSTLERMagazine.com: Usually in small towns, everyone knows everyone. What have your experiences been with small-town living while being in sex work?
Farrah de Rossi: I originally took a job there, so when I left that job, the whole town knew within 30 minutes. I knew I would be asked by multiple people, so I had to fib! I am Hmm…a photographer and I work from home. I guess it’s not a total fib! But having an “acceptable” answer to those questions will inevitably help quell that nosy neighbor anxiety some may have when living in a close-knit/small community.

Have you had to go the extra mile to keep your occupation under the radar, or was it widely known?
Farrah de Rossi: Luckily for me, I do not believe I was found out. I took so many precautions…. I used an alias for wishlists so I knew where it was coming from, initials for Amazon and a different spelling for [wishlist platform] Throne; that way I could look quickly at a package and know if it was a sub-funded gift or not without opening it….I got a private PO box one hour away in the neighboring larger city. Any sub gifts or anything that could not be seen by my local mail delivery people were sent there for my privacy. [I] always hide location, especially on FetLife. Geo-blocking is your friend.

Have you had encounters while living in a small city that stand out to you more than others?
Farrah de Rossi: I had the ladies at my conservative PO box place deny me getting my items from my PO box! I had to ask a friend from my old job (a male) to go in and get them for me! They gave them to him, no problem. So yeah, I dumped that place quick…
